How are you in general and how is your training going?

Francisco Figueroa:

I'm in great shape you know training out here in the hot weather Miami and training is going great!!! we're just at moderate speed cause we don't want to peak our performance so early in the game.

Who in your opinion is your hardest opponent to date??

Francisco Figueroa:

My hardest Opponent to date was Francisco Rincon who i lost to but it was that he was good in skill he was a beast with his punching power

Apart from you obviously is the man to beat within your weight class???

Francisco Figueroa:

I don't really think it's anybody in the top 10. I believe there are up and coming fighter who I know will be champions along with me I think me and the other fighter will take out the top 10 fighters

Who is the biggest influence on your boxing career???

Francisco Figueroa:

My biggest influence in boxing was non-other than Camacho Sr. and Pernell Whitaker.

What is your best attribute in the ring (Power, Speed Movement etc)???

Francisco Figueroa:

I have all attributes that make me a champion but i think what helps me more is the ability to play chess in the ring being able to adapt when our games plan was change during the fight

What is your biggest accomplishment so far throughout your career???

Francisco Figueroa:

My biggest accomplishment in boxing was beating a fellow Bronx fighter in  Madison square garden Nov 11 i was defending my new york state belt joey Rios was an up and coming prospect who's record was 14-0 6 ko's

Who and Why is the fighter you looked up to as a Kid???

This question will be short i really wasn't into boxing until the age of 22 which is when i started so i got into boxing late in the game I'm 28 now

Who in your opinion is the number one pound 4 pound fighter and why???

Francisco Figueroa::

P4P i really don't have a preference to who can hold the reign i would say Floyd but i wont cause he really hasn't shown he's able to stand toe to toe for a couple of seconds boxer i don't consider p4p unless then can box and brawl that's my definition of a p4p

I got Mayweather by Dec and Vargas by Dec

What are your plans for 2007???

Francisco Figueroa:

In 2007 I'm looking to be rank in the top 10 and maybe fight for a eliminator for the world title that's a goal we have planned
