Topclassboxing.co.uk Can you talk us through your last fight?? (Emotions, What worked for you in the ring etc)
I was very calm and relaxed but focused for my last fight. I’d been training very hard and was well prepared. My thoughts before going into the ring this time was a little different then the rest. I’d visualize myself doing the things that I’ve been working on in the gym and felt very sharp warming up on the mitts with Buddy before the fight. In the fight, the knockout happened so quick that I didn’t get a chance to do a lot but I could say that I had my range over him and he couldn’t land any punches. I was very patience and timed my punches very well. I’d countered his 3rd combinations and knocked him out. I’m very happy and excited to be compared to the infamous Manny Pacquiao but I think it’s too early in my career to be compared to someone who’s at the top of their game. I think people compared me to Manny because I’m Asian just like him and I’m exciting to watch. Topclassboxing.co.uk How as Buddy helped you in training for fights??? Nguyen Tien Dat Buddy and I have been working on a lot of things in the gym. He has me bouncing on my feet more so I won’t be flat footed. Now I can really feels the power at the end of my punches. By the end of 2007, I would like to be ranked top 15 in my weight class. However, I’m just taking things one fight at a time. I’ve came to realizes that patience is the name of this game and it’s a long road of hard work and patience to make dreams come true.
