Training is going great working with a great team of trainers and we're looking to take over in 07.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the ring?

Rico Hoye:

To date i think winning the NABF, WBC cont., NABO, and the IBA u.s. titles along with knocking out Richard Hall to become the #1 lh by the IBF then beating Montell Griffin to become the #1 mandatory.

What are your best attributes in the ring e.g Speed, Power Movement etc

Rico Hoye:

I'm a boxer puncher but i think my best traits would be that i have extremely fast hands and i punch sharp. I'm hands down the best thang smoking in the ring! lol...

Who in your opinion is Number one Pound 4 Pound at the moment?

Rico Hoye:

lil Floyd holds that title for now i think he's been showing and proving that lately!

Who when growing up did you look up to most as a fighter?

Rico Hoye:

My father growing up was that guy to me, but i was blessed to be able to witness fighters in the detroit gyms from Hearns,Moorer,Carr,Mclellan,Holmes, Jimmy Paul i got to see all styles etc

Who has been the biggest influence in your career to date?

Rico Hoye:

The biggest influence was my grandfather he gave me a strong foundation to build off of.

What has been your most satisfing and Disappointing fights so far in your career and why?

Rico Hoye:

The most satisfying was fighting for the lightheavyweight championship of the world the most disappointing was losing in that bid! i was disappointed because i know and he knows to this day that he cant beat me i was ill prepared for that fight and should never have taken it when i did!

Who is the fighter you most want to meet in the ring in the next year or so?

I'd like a crack at Bernard, Calzaghe, definitely CLINTON WOODS!!!

What are your plans for 2007?

Rico Hoye:

In 07 folks are going to see Rico the GREAT!!! I'm planning on extinguishing all the fighters i face in 07 to TAKE BACK MY CROWN!!!!
