Topclassboxing.co.uk: First I'd like to start by saying congratulations on your win over Francisco Bojado and Thanks for taking time out to be with us. Steve Forbes: Thanks alot i really appreciate it. Topclassboxing.co.uk: What in your opinion as the Bojado fight done for your career and your confidence, does this put you back in title contention? Steve Forbes: My opinion of the victory over bojado was It has boosted me to a legitimate championship threat to any of the champions, Topclassboxing.co.uk: Your loss to Demetrius Hopkins was by far the most controversial result I have seen in a long while when the announcer shouted his name what was going through your mind? Steve Forbes: When i fought Hopkins back in march, and Michael Buffer announced his name i just knew they mad a mistake and thought he called the wrong name which they will change shortly and then i realized i had just been screwed in one of the worst decisions in boxing. Topclassboxing.co.uk: From your time in the Contender series, fans here in the Uk are emailing me non stop to get a interview with yourself, what did the whole contender experience do for you?? Steve Forbes: The whole contender experience was great it definitely put me out there and honestly rejuvenated my career. Topclassboxing.co.uk: Since your time in the Contender series, as Ray Leonard offered you advice and if so what was that advice? Steve Forbes: I talk to Sugar Ray quite a bit and his advice is to be professional, because when you compete its your stage and the world is watching, just soak it up because you earned it. Topclassboxing.co.uk: You have a very impressive record with fighters you have beaten such as David Santos (twice), John Brown, Cornelius Bundrage but which one satisfied you most? Steve Forbes: The most satisfying victory is the first David Santos fight because it kicked the door in for me to become world champion and i did this my very next fight against john brown it was great. Topclassboxing.co.uk: What is the proudest moment throughout your career was it the win against John Brown that made you the IBF super featherweight champion, your win against David Santos or making it to the final of the contender series? Steve Forbes: Making it to the finals of the Contender season 2, simply because i had fought most of my career at super featherweight and to defeat 3 strong jr.middleweights and earn my way to the finals was great. Topclassboxing.co.uk: In my opinion having watched alot of your fights you have a enormous array of boxing skills fast hands, good movement and ring control which you don't really see in many fighters these days apart from the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Joel Casamayor, Ivan Calderon etc. most fighters just want to turn up and slug it out are these skills what makes you better than most of the fighters around you? Steve Forbes: I think so because i study the art of boxing not just slugging it out but the art of real ring generalship. Topclassboxing.co.uk: What does the future hold for Steve Forbes? Steve Forbes: The future holds a world championship for me and some fan friendly fights that you guys will enjoy. Topclassboxing.co.uk: Is there anything you would like to say to your fight fans that visit www.TopClassBoxing.co.uk and the ones around the UK?? Steve Forbes:
