FLOYD
MAYWEATHER JR |
|
| Although he took a 21 month hiatus from the sport, In our
opinion there isn't a fighter on the planet with the kind of skill set
of the pretty boy and his performance against Shane Mosely was enough for him to keep his spot as Boxing's Pound
4 Pound king. Manny kept the spot warm during his brief retirement from the ring but in my opinion the King is back. |

mANNY PACQUIAO |
|
| A lot of people
will disagree with our decision to take Floyd over Manny and he
will still be seen at the top of most people's P4P list, but the choice
I made was due to my belief that Floyd is slightly a better overall fighter.
Manny has had a fantastic couple of years with wins over the likes of
Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez and Miguel Cotto which
has made this decision more than difficult, with a potential super fight
with Mayweather down the line, hopefully the ranking will be settled once
and for all. |

SHANE MOSELY |
|
Sugar's form over the last four years have been truly stunning which has seen him beat the likes of Fernando Vargas (twice), the always awkward Luis Collazo, the wild man from Nicaragua Ricardo Mayorga and of course his master piece in the stoppage of Antonio Margarito. I have Shane at number three on my list despite his loss to Floyd. There is a hell of a lot of fight still left in this dog believe me. |

PAUL WILLIAMS |
|
| The most avoided fighter in the sport is my list at number four, Paul "The Punisher" Williams is a must see fighter for any fight fan, with his non stop punching and the fact that he has knockout power he fascinates whereever he fights. He is coming off a brilliant performance which saw him decision Sergio Martinez in one of the fights of 2009. Look for Williams to continue his form and hopefully get a super fight he so rightly deserves. |

BERNARD HOPKINS |
|
| The way things are going I am convinced you will still be seeing Hopkins here until he is fifty years old, I'm joking of course but what is no joke is Hopkins the fighter. He seems to be getting better with age and a great victory over Kelly Pavlik proved this. Last time out he avenged his loss to Roy jones Jr outpointing his fellow legend unanimouslly in an instantly forgettable matchup. A new door as opened for Hopkins with fighters such as Lucian Bute and Chad Dawson queing up to face him so he may be around for a while yet |

JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ |
|
| Juan Manuel Marquez suffered at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. but due to his impressive previous performances over former world champions Joel Casamayor and Juan Diaz I believe he has shown that he is one of boxing elite fighters and believe those wins are enough to keep the Mexican in a high place on my list. Juan Manuel is one of the best Lightweights out there at the moment and with another win or so I can see him again rise through this list. |

MIGUEL COTTO |
|
| Miguel was on a the short end of a beatdown against Manny Pacquiao but showed a warriors heart again, Miguel's name as been erased from some Pound 4 Pound lists which I find puzzling as he holds victories against the likes of Sugar Shane Mosely, Zab Judah Joshua Clottey and the list of great opponents continues. This could potentially be Miguel's last year in the sport so enjoy watching the Puerto Rican star while you still can.. |

CHAD DAWSON |
|
| Bad Chad is currently in the process of clearing up the Light Heavyweight division which has seen him already beat the likes of former ruler Antonio Tarver, Glencoffe Johnson and Thomasz Adamek. The only problem now lies with the competition left or lack of it. Chad has beaten the best the division has to offer so where does he go from here? |
| Next Opponent: Jean Pascal |

JUAN MANUEL LOPEZ |
|
Juanma is one of if not THE best young fighters in boxing at the moment and has been red hot throughout his career so far. The unbeaten WBO champion already boasts wins over former world champion Daniel Ponce De Leon and Gerry Penalosa and at the age of just 26 it is scary to think about this fighters potential. A match up in 2010/2011 against Israel Vasquez is supposedly on the cards which should make for an absolute great fight. Look for Lopez to make strides in the P4P ranking in the next couple of years and we could potentially be witnessing the future of this P4P List.

CELESTINO CABALLERO |
|
The last place on my list was the most difficult to pick which left me going between Caballero, Hasegawa, Bradley and Calderon for the last place. After much deliberation I decided to go with the Panamanian hard hitter due manly to his impressive form over the past six years. Throughout that time he has gone unbeaten while annihilating the likes of Steve Moliter, Lorenzo Parra and Somsak Sithchatchawal in the process. Next up for Celestino will hopefully be a bout with either Juanma or Gamboa, and if it was up to Caballero he would no doubt fight them on the same day (joke) |
